Upon arriving in New York in the late 1980’s, James Gedeon immediately began honing his craft in the Greenwich Village music scene in storied venues like The Village Gate, The Back Fence and The Red Lion. By the time he began performing at Wilson’s on the city’s upper west side in the mid 1990’s, James had developed a reputation as a singer and songwriter who was able to make even individuals in the farthest reaches of a venue feel as if they were right up front. James has performed at some of New York’s most notable addresses including, Le Cirque, The Rainbow Room and The Waldorf Astoria. James has also been able to take his music to areas outside of New York City and the United States performing in Washington D.C. at The Smithsonian, The Harvard Club in Boston, Mauna Kea resort in Hawaii, The Ocean Club in the Bahamas and performed for the King and Queen at The Royal Palace in Morocco.
James has shared the stage with such great luminaries as Harry Connick Jr, Billy Joel, Phoebe Snow, Mark Rivera and Bernie Williams. Throughout the years James has also opened for Jay Leno, Livingston Taylor, Dana Carvey and The Marshall Tucker Band. Some of James’ most notable clients have included ESPN Radio, CNN, WPLJ, 77 WABC in New York and The New York Jets.
James’ first CD entitled “This Is Me” was released to critical acclaim among his loyal fan base. He is currently in the studio working on the follow up album “My Saving Grace” soon to be released.
