Larry Stevens, singer/songwriter and lead singer for The Larry Stevens Band, has been receiving critical acclaim for his musical style and dynamic performances. Larry has been busy booking shows throughout the New York tri-state area and beyond, playing everything from rock-pop originals to a variety of cover songs ranging from Van Morrison, Elvis, the Beatles, Jack Johnson, Eric Clapton, and John Mayer.
His second CD, “Downstairs at Mayo’s”, blends rock and pop with a twist of country. This EP is a follow-up to his successful debut album, “Heart of a Fighter.” A third album, “Mercer Street”, was completed toward the end of 2010 and is being readied for release. Larry has been a featured guest on popular shows on WFDU 89.1FM radio, WDVR 89.7FM & 91.9FM radio, WOR 710AM radio, World Wide Radio (syndicated), News 12 NJ television, and performs live on various internet broadcasts. In addition, he has had the honor of performing for our wounded warriors at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In 2005 Larry was bestowed the honor of being inducted into the prestigious Friar’s Club in New York City.
Larry has been busy performing at various concert series, festivals, and events. He recently opened for such major artists as Kenny Loggins, Foreigner, and Todd Rundgren, and past highlights include opening for Peter Frampton, Shania Twain, Steve Forbert, and The Doobie Brothers. Larry’s focus is to make audiences of all ages feel as though they are part of the performance. Look for Larry’s upcoming album in early 2011.
